Dr. Norma Lozano-Jackson

Office of International Programs 

As the Director of the Office of International Programs since 2000, Dr. Norma Jackson has expanded the scope of Benedict College’s academic and social justice aspirations to a global scale. Through her programs, Benedict College has become a global village that boasts faculty, staff and students from around the world. Dr. Jackson believes that the experience of a diverse campus better equips students to navigate through a multicultural society.

Dr. Jackson holds Bachelor degrees in French and Spanish from Rutgers University, a Masters degree in Spanish-American Literature from Montclair State University, and a PhD in Comparative Literature from Rutgers University.

Drawing on her own Afro-Colombian experience in the United States and Colombia, along with her extensive travels to Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. Dr. Jackson brings a broad international perspective and experience to the Benedict College community.
